I am both a fiber artist and a residential interior designer, practicing both my design and fiber art in the Bay Area since the 1970’s. My fiber work reflects the same explorations and concerns of my interiors projects - the play of color, texture, light reflection, dimensionality and movement in a three dimensional space.

In my fiber work, I explore that dimensional character by creating playful pieces that move while hanging on the wall in blasts of contrasting color with contrasting fiber textures and the addition of found materials. I use plastic and Mylar to reflect light. My fiber is both informed by and informs my interior designs. I work to infuse energy and joy into both, to create lively spaces for clients to live and work. I knot in the additional design elements, which themselves are vehicles to hold additional fibers, as I weave the base, creating overlapping layers of fiber.
