Early Rubens

Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) was both a prodigious artist and one of the most extraordinary figures of the seventeenth century. Gretchen Turner from the Legion of Honor will show how Rubens rose to the first rank of Flemish painting and established a visual style that would guide future ambitious painters.
